The cherry blossoms usually bloom in Fukui from late March to early April, and this period may vary depending on the climate each year. In addition, the period from first bloom to peak bloom to final dropping of the petals is approximately 10 days to 2 weeks. Therefore, we recommend shooting dates based on the cherry blossom forecast for 2024. Even within Fukui Prefecture, there are some differences in the flowering time depending on the location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Asuwa River is home to one of the longest rows of cherry trees in Fukui Prefecture. These trees stretch for approximately 2.2 km. When they are in full bloom, the cherry blossoms become a beautiful tunnel of pale pink color, and are crowded with many cherry blossom viewers. It is a popular spot that has been selected as one of Japan\u2019s top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots along with nearby Asuwayama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Located on the shores of the majestic Kitagata Lake, this park is rich in nature and has more than 350 Yoshino cherry trees and weeping cherry trees in full bloom.
